Village Parents is throwing an old-fashioned Independence Day party!
This isn’t your run-of-the-mill potluck–though we love those. This is an actual “do” with….wait for it….games, water play, and ICE CREAM!!!
Where: Barclay School “backyard,” i.e. right near the big playground, 2900 Barclay St.
When: Monday, July 4, 4 to 6 p.m.
What: Water balloon toss! Three-legged races! Beanbag toss! Horseshoes! Fellowship and food!
Village Parents will supply bottled water (compliments of Eddie’s), pasta salad (compliments of Donna’s), ice cream (compliments of Coldstone Creamery), and a few coolers full of ice. Please bring a dish to share, beer or wine or other beverages, and plates and cutlery for your family. Oh, and chairs or a blanket!
We will have a few wading pools filled with cold water (thanks to Barclay’s hose) so if you want to bring your kids in bathing suits, go for it.
